Tell us about your role at AJC Group.

My role at AJC Group is a Quantity Surveyor, I look after the commercial elements of my projects. This involves curation of budgets, cost planning, cost reporting, tendering packages, placing orders, undertaking valuations, certifying payments and much more.

What is the best thing about being part of the AJC Group team?

AJC Group has a real ‘family’ vibe and I have really enjoyed becoming part of it.

What do you enjoy the most about your role?

No day is the same in my role, I am never bored and this is the best part.

Have you always worked in the housebuilding Industry? What were your previous roles?

I originally worked for a roofer, and this is where I decided to pursue a career as a Quantity Surveyor. From there I worked on sustainable development items such as Solar PV, Green Roofs, and Blue Roofs. After this, I worked for a medium sized developer delivering apartments, care homes, houses, and hotels.

What has been a highlight so far from your time at AJC Group?

The team activities – yoga and stretching sessions particularly!

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work, I am a keen netball player, my position is GA, but I fancy myself as a defender sometimes! I have a dachshund called Rolo, me and my partner take him out to the beach, cafes and around town (basically anywhere we go, he goes).
