We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for both Residential Developer of the Year and Residential Development of the Year at the South Coast Property Awards 2026.
The recognition follows a landmark year for AJC, during which we delivered 100% affordable housing across all completed developments. In total, 80 homes were delivered during 2025, with a further 147 homes under construction across multiple sites, and a strong pipeline of schemes progressing into 2026.
This performance reflects our continued focus on increasing the supply of first-class, genuinely affordable homes across Dorset and Hampshire, in partnership with housing associations and local authorities. Our commitment to quality has also been recognised through two NHBC Pride in the Job Awards, alongside a prestigious NHBC Seal of Excellence.
Our Orchard Gate scheme in Dibden Purlieu has been shortlisted in the Residential Development of the Year category. Delivered in partnership with Aster Group, the scheme provides 25 affordable homes in a location where access to housing has become increasingly limited.
Originally brought forward through a successful planning appeal, the development was subsequently converted to 100% affordable housing to ensure it directly meets local need. The scheme includes a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes, enabling local families to remain within the community.
Located on the edge of the New Forest, Orchard Gate has been designed to reflect the character of the surrounding area, with a strong emphasis on quality, sustainability and placemaking. The development demonstrates AJC’s approach to delivering affordable housing that goes beyond minimum standards, with enhanced architectural detailing and premium specification throughout.
