Dorset-headquartered housebuilder AJC Group has successfully joined the New Build PROSPER Framework. Run by a North-East based strategic business consultancy, PROSPER consists of specialists, operating within the public sector.
PROSPER offers core services for landlords, schools, and local authorities, including business transformation delivery, new build development consultancy, and procurement solutions. The New Build Framework was launched earlier this year and AJC Group will be a part of the supply chain for upcoming contracts for new homes in the South of England.
Ben Peddie, Construction Director at AJC Group, said: “We are very pleased to be appointed onto the PROSPER New Build Framework. It is a fantastic opportunity and also another achievement for the team. AJC Group is the youngest company to ever be crowned Housebuilder of the Year at the South Coast Property Awards, having also picked up Fast Rising Property Business of the Year in 2022. More recently, we scooped affordable housing development of the year at the 2023 Insider South West Property Awards.
“The opportunities this new Framework could deliver will help us meet or exceed our targets of developing hundreds of quality sustainable homes across the Wessex region year on year. Our dedicated team can fully resource and manage call-off contracts, evidenced by our proven track record of delivering high EPC-rated residential schemes.”
To qualify for inclusion in the framework, companies are assessed on six objectives, including contact management and overview of the team, quality management, customer care and communications, management and sub-contractors, supply chain management, and training and development.
In the six years since AJC Group was established, the rapidly growing housebuilder has tripled its turnover, profit, and team. The founding trio of directors has grown to a multi-disciplined team of over 35 professionals, with a national accreditation from Investors In People being awarded to the team in 2022.
AJC Group is on track to deliver over 200 mixed-tenure homes during 2023, reflecting a total construction value in excess of £100m. The firm has become one of the most active residential development specialists across the Wessex region.
Six sites are currently under construction by AJC Group, including a development in the village of Okeford Fitzpaine near Blandford Forum in rural Dorset. Live projects on Lindsay Road, The Sloop, and Herbert Avenue, are all located in Poole, while The Sonnet apartment scheme is in Bournemouth. The firm has also recently started construction at one of its largest projects, which will deliver 57 affordable houses and apartments for Aster Group within the former Dorchester Brewery regeneration scheme.
The affordable housing developer has been shortlisted in five categories at the 2023 South Coast Property Awards, including, for Residential Development of the Year for The Sloop in Poole; Sustainable Development of the Year for a scheme of move-on homes for the homeless, located on Herbert Avenue in Poole; Young Property Person of the Year for Managing Director Seb Janes; Workplace Environment of the Year; and for Housebuilder of the Year.
