The South coast of England, the only natural heritage site in the world, boasting miles of uninterrupted beaches welcomed more than 640,000 visitors over the recent Easter Bank Holiday weekend, maybe you were one of the happy holiday makers?
As well as its unique offerings and attractions, the South Coast is a popular holiday destination all year round, with more and more people predicted to opt for a staycation than going abroad in 2019. As many as 57% of people will be taking their annual summer holiday in the UK, a rise of 2% on last year, with the average domestic break being a week-long. The average expected spend of £823 is also up 37% from £599 last year.
How about making these visits a more permanent routine? Over the last three years, Brits opting to buy a second home within the UK has risen by 39%. This is unsurprising when we are surrounded by areas like Lymington Quay, Barton on Sea and Christchurch. With convenient transport links, and relatively close proximity to London, the commute could be as little as 90minutes to your haven by the sea.
