MONDAY EVENING WITNESSED the alliance of Football for Peace and the Global Gift Foundation’s Initiative Dinner hosted at London’s Corinthia Hotel, which AJ Group Director Mark Adams, and Operations Manager Megan Adams, were amongst the 120 guests privileged enough to receive an invitation.

Global Gift Foundation is a movement focussing efforts on supporting children with special needs, ensuring that therapies essential for their physical, psychological and social development are received, consequently improving their quality of life and social integration.

Similarly, Football for Peace is an organisation at the forefront of using football to save lives and intervene in worldwide communities; detoxifying them from violence, hatred, division and misunderstanding. Sadly, something very prevalent in UK press at the moment.

An extraordinary sum of money was raised by means of Live and Silent Auctions for these two foundations, helped by incredible donations, including a painting (compiling over 1500 gold stars placed by children at Great Ormond Street, as well as 50 celebrity handprints) by one of the worlds leading young artists, Sacha Jafri. This incredible piece was completed on the evening with the handprints of Wilfried Zaha and AFCBournemouth’s Callum Wilson.

Local, well-loved resident, Harry Redknapp was also honoured with the Football for Peace & Global Gift Foundation Humanitarian Award (accepted on his behalf by AFCB Chairman Jeff Mostyn) for his ongoing work supporting an array of philanthropic causes.

A fantastic evening, two wonderful foundations and a true purpose.
